This compact menu bar saves a lot of space in your blog's sidebar. It can also be used for your links, sponsors, categories, etc. If you want to open the page in the same window you can try and replace "window.open" in the code with "window.location.replace". If you would like to create your own, copy and paste the code way down below. Replace the given links and titles to your own personal links and titles.
- In order to change the width of the menu bar, search for this line of code.
style="width: 160px;"
- Change the number 160 to any desired width of your choice.

Thanks so much,
I found this to be very useful!
This works well with my site.
Thanks John!
Hand for me and my site.
I need to remove this page element...how do I do it? When I "Edit" the add on there is no place to "remove it" What do I do?
Thanks
Lenny
Lenny,
I have never experienced this before.
Try waiting a little, and come back later and try again.
I'm quessing this is only a temporary error and has nothing to do with the drop down menu bar.
If this does not work, let me know.

i want to learn how to use 2 sidebars area for a widget like you have used for entering email address ,then again have 2 sidebars.plz guide me
that's very helpful, so i could list all my friend list without looking lengthy in my sidebar..
If I use this dropdown menu the page rank transfers on the links inside dropdown menu? Thanks
parent.window.location.replace
Alloed me to replace the existing page with the one selected in the drop down menu.
Thanks for the code - it works awesome...
Love this widget. I've noticed a problem though and wondering if you know how to fix it. I have a few "options" that are a line of dashes ('-------') to use as separators between parts of the list and also the "title" of the list is 'Choose One:'. If I click on the dashes or come back after clicking a real link and then click 'Choose One:', I get a page not found message from Blogger. I noticed this on your example too. Is there a workaround? Also, I'd like to have 'Choose One:' be the selected option after a click without having to refresh the page. I'm still going to use this widget, but if you have tips on these issues, I'd be grateful. Thanks!
