| I think it is a good host. Comparing with all the other hosts I tried this is the best. Their support is good. Once I messed up my php code and they fixed it, despite that this is not their job. Sometimes they don't give me a clear answer or they confuse me but I think that has to do with the person who is behind the pc as an individual, not with the whole company. I use it and have been pretty happy. I danced around webhosts alot before settling on hostgator. The two things that have me hooked are the ability to host unlimited domains at no extra cost, and the fact if there is a problem I can use their webchat interface to get help 24/7.
Of course, other webhosts are generally pretty good until something goes wrong, or you need some urgent answer. I've struck similar issues that caused me to leave other providers, and the fact that I could sort them out in one chat session, rather than wait for email or 'ticket' replies has been very satisfying.
HostGator is a very good, host... their support team seems to know what they are talking about when a complex issue comes up and sometimes thats rare for a webhost. Great uptime and speed too.

Same here, I use hostgator and it works fine for me, no problems. I like the fast support too, if I need help I send an email and usually get a response within a few hours.
I use Hostgator and I love it. I also set up a single domain on another host, which I am not nearly as happy with. Hostgator has spoiled me!

Bob Soul, the speed seems to be fast. I haven't noticed any downtime or lagging with my sites. I hope this answers your question.
